What is Little Ship?

Little Ship is a not-for-profit recording studio based in San Francisco, CA. Little Ship hopes to provide professional level services to talented artists at no cost. We are a decidedly independent studio for truly independent artists.

What Has Little Ship Released to Date?

Little Ship is proud to announce Bill Wild's EP Phone Number the first full-length Little Ship release, available on-line or by locating a physical copy of the CD (which are handed out for free at various times and places). We encourage 'piracy' on this release and ask that you please share this album with as many people as you can.

Otherwise, Little Ship has done a number of other small releases that include short animation scores and was recently used as a voice-over studio for two short animations.

Who Runs Little Ship?

Little Ship is owned and operated by Lucius Bono. For the most part, Little Ship is a one-man show, but it certainly is no island. Beyond relying on artists to provide the talent, Little Ship leans heavily on the shoulders of an astounding independent recording community, friends, family and even sometimes the kindness of strangers to keep things rolling.

How Can I Support Little Ship?

Tell your friends! This website will eventually be a communications hub for goings-on at Little Ship, but for now the best way you can help us out is to tell everyone that you know to go to thebillwild.com and download EP Phone Number. Other than that, we are not accepting monetary donations as a studio, but if you have any skills, services or goods that you think Little Ship could use please drop Lucius a line.

How Do I Work With Little Ship?

Lucius' bandwidth is extremely limited, as he has a regular 9-6pm Monday-Friday day-job and keeps a regular stable of active projects, but Little Ship is always interested in projects so if you've got one, please share it.

What's In Store For Little Ship in 2010?

We started the year off right with our first release, and we have some very exciting projects lined up for the remainder of 2010. We're adopting a 'less talking, more doing' attitude around the studio these days, so for now that's all the information we can provide. Stay tuned!
